✴️Shards

Shards are the primary soft currency in Shatterpoint, serving as the foundation for progression, crafting, and participation in various game activities.
How to Earn Shards
Shards can be acquired through multiple avenues within the game, rewarding players for their skill, strategy, and persistence. Below are the main ways to collect Shards:

Completing Daily Tasks
Daily Tasks: Each day, players are presented with a set of tasks that refresh every 24 hours. These tasks range from defeating a certain number of enemies to completing certain objectives. Completing these tasks can reward Shards, providing a steady stream of income for consistent players.

In-Game Activities During Matches
Monster Defeats: Monsters scattered across the map drop Shards upon defeat. Stronger monsters yield more Shards.
In-Round Quests: Every match features three random quests available to all players. The first player to complete each quest earns a shard reward.
Player Eliminations: Defeating other players grants 20% of their current shard count, making PvP combat a lucrative way to boost your resources. However, this also means you risk losing Shards if you’re defeated, so timing and strategy are key.

End-of-Match Rewards
At the end of each round, players are ranked based on the number of Shards they’ve collected during the match. Your final shard total contributes to your overall rewards, ensuring that every shard counts toward your progress.

How to Use Shards
Once earned, Shards can be spent in various areas of the game to enhance your hero and unlock new opportunities. Below are the primary uses for Shards:
Crafting Equipment
Shards are a core resource for crafting gear in Shatterpoint. By investing Shards into the crafting process, you can create stronger equipment over time to boost your hero’s stats and abilities.
Participating in Boss Fights
Accessing certain boss battles can sometimes require a participation fee paid in Shards.
