Shatterpoint utilizes three different types of Non-Fungible Tokens from launch, and more types may be added in the future.

Heroes

Shatterpoint Heroes are the primary game object, and can be regular (free-to-play) or on-chain (rewarded or crafted through in-game achievements). Both types of Heroes unlock game-changing traits every 10 levels - up to five traits at level 50. All Heroes have their level progress reset to 1 by the Shattering, regardless if they are Regular or NFT. It's important to note that Regular Heroes have their trait progress reset by The Shattering, while on-chain Heroes will retain their acquired Hero traits.

Founder’s Hero collection is a finite collection of 3333 Founder Hero NFTs with unique visual designs, more rare unlockable traits, and other benefits that include:

Runes

These powerful artifacts are all on-chain (NFT) and are completely unaffected by the Shattering. Runes can be engraved using Quantus Dust and then equipped into certain Hero equipment pieces. They greatly improve specific Hero equipment abilities and allow players to further personalize their gameplay style and experience.

Cosmetic items

These are on-chain (NFT) skins and accessories for Heroes and/or equipment that do not alter gameplay and can be acquired during seasons of content.
