PvP
Player vs Player core mode is a best-of-5 3v3 arena team deathmatch. 1v1 and 2v2 brackets are also available.

Initially, matchmaking will be based on a combination of Power Potential (a way of calculating total gear level) and Win/Loss ratio. Starting with the Open Beta, an Elo rating system will be introduced to enhance matchmaking.

Players can wager their Quantus resource in ranked PvP. Winner(s) take all, paying a negligible Arena fee which serves as a deflationary mechanism. We're also considering to introduce asymmetrical wagering.

Leaderboard & Weekly Tournaments
Each Shatterpoint Season presents PvP in-game tournaments, which in turn offer various rewards. Additionally, each day of the Season players can climb the ranked Arena leaderboard from 12 am to 2 am UTC & 11 am to 1 pm UTC. The Arena is available at all times, but you can only increase your leaderboard rank within these timeframes. Winning a single Ranked match awards the player +5 rank points, losing a match awards +1 point. The leaderboard also provides various statistics on each player.

Ranking higher on the Closed Alpha leaderboard awards various seasonal rewards at the end of each Season, including in-game resources, Hero & Rune NFTs, and more.

In the Open Beta phase, beginning in Q2 2023, everyone will be able to publicly access and test the game, challenge their friends into PvP matches, earn even more rewards, participate in events & PvP tournaments.
