Equipment

Equipment plays a crucial role in the game, making Heroes stronger. A range of affixes allows you to boost your main stats or even change the way you play and experience the game. You can arrange various builds by combining equipment sets and abilities to suit your own personal play style. Every item, regardless of the type, has 3 grades and 3 rarities (Legendary is a special case).

Inventory

During the adventures in Campaign mode, players receive plenty of equipment items. All equipment provides various abilities and affixes in addition to its intrinsic stats:

  • Helmets provide additional rune slots

  • Chest armor provides the greatest amount of Defense or Evasion in addition to affixes and rune slots

  • Belts provide crowd-control and damage or helpful utility abilities

  • Boots provide movement abilities

  • Gloves provide damage enhancing abilities

  • Weapons have powerful attack abilities

  • Shields enable players to block attacks while providing extra defense

Equipment Generation

Equipment is generated randomly from appropriate lists of eligible properties. These properties include type, rarity, grade, affixes, and their strengths:

  • Type: anything that can be equipped by the player

  • Grade: defines the quality of the item. Better quality items can be found in later levels

  • Rarity: defines the number and strength of affixes. Rarity is independent of grade

  • Affixes: various boosts that help players survive in the many worlds of Dimensional

  • Abilities: these are powerful attributes that help players survive and overcome challenges

  • Rune Slots: hold Runes that enhance abilities

Weapons

There are several different types of weapons in Shatterpoint:

  • One-handed, allowing the use and blocking with shields

  • Two-handed heavy, knocking enemies back. Allows carrying a shield but can't block with it.

  • Two-handed long, longer attack range. Allows carrying a shield but can't block with it.

  • Ranged, enabling attacks from a distance. Allows carrying a shield but can't block with it.

Armor

There are several different types of armor in Shatterpoint:

  • Helmets

  • Breastplates

  • Boots

  • Gloves

  • Shields

  • Potions

Legendary Equipment

Players can find Legendary Equipment with special effects & bonuses.

Abilities

Abilities are special actions that a player can perform due to equipped items. Equipped Runes enhance abilities over 3 enhancement levels. Weapons and gloves provide offensive abilities, belts can provide both offensive, crowd control and healing abilities, boots have mobility abilities and potions provide healing over time abilities. Learn more about Abilities and Runes at Abilities & Runes.

Cosmetics

Cosmetics are on-chain items that are unique for each season and can be won in special events. Cosmetics change the visuals of an equipment item but do not influence its stats in any way. They remain throughout the season and can be reequipped to other items.

Utility Boxes

Utility Boxes can be bought with Equipment Shards (acquired by dismantling equipment) and Quantus Dust. Each box contains Equipment and possibly other item(s), with more expensive boxes containing higher Rarity equipment.
